***Thursday 4th September:***

Greetings one and all. Where has the time gone!! Hope you have all been having a good Summer.

Update from the band: Jon "The Legend" Cretney suffered a bit of an accident when he fell of his surf board (I kid you not!). Unfortunately Jon broke a finger or two and has been out of action for the last month or so.

The lads took to the stage for a Battle of the Bands on 17th July @ The Outback in Douglas. They showcased some new covers including Led Zeppelins "Rock and Roll" and AC/DC's "Highway to Hell". Jon's experience and quality really shone through on his debut and the band sounded as good as it ever has.

Unfortunately with Jons injury shortly after the Summer has ground to a halt and FS were due to perform on Saturday 27th September @ The Haven for a Charity Do, but this looks like it won't be happening now.

Other big news for the band, both Jel and Jon have got engaged (not to each other) and we wish them congratulations for everything ahead.

Sunnday 30th March:

Rehearsals have been progressing well with the new 4 piece Shaven. Juan explained to us that the band were working on a new set of covers which they hoped to be out playing before too long. He also revealed work was progressing on the Shaven originals although they appeared to have taken a back seat while rehearsals continued.

We are hoping FS will announce some kind of tour schedule before the end of April and as always we will break the news first so watch this space.

Wednesday 12th March:

We can exclusively reveal today that Freshly Shaven have officially moved from a three piece to a four piece. Jel revealed to us today that Jon Cretney, formerly of Letterbomb and US group the Judea Eden Band has joined Fletch, Juan and himself as lead guitarist.

Jel: "Jon has a wealth of experience playing live, is a phenominal guitarist and gets on great with the lads too. He'll really add a new dimension to the group and help us push forward to a better future."

2008 should prove to be a very exciting year for FS fans. Originals are progressing well and a new set of covers will be out sometime during the year as well. As always we'll bring you all the latest news from the band when we have it.

Saturday 18th August:

Greetings one and all. There has been a few weeks of activity from the band and we can now bring you all the details:

Fletcher is officially back in residents full time on the Isle of Man. This has meant that the lads have had the opportunity to spend more time deciding what they want to do. Jel informs us that the lads are currently working on some red hot new material. They have been writing as a group and have about 6 or 7 songs on the way. Jel also informs us an un-named guitarist will be auditioning with the band in the coming weeks and more time would yet be spent writing originals before we see FS out on the gigging circuit.

Saturday 28th April:

The dust has now settled on Freshly Shaven's outing and Fletcher has returned for his very last spell at Uni. This means that come July, Freshly Shaven will begin preparations for a full time return. Juan has told us exclusively that he is looking forward to the return and the band have some very big plans. All will be revealed in the coming months but we can assure you that a fresh batch of Kock Rock is being penned as we write and if the exclusive clip of "Black Gate" the lads were working on in April is anything to go by, the future looks bright!
